SCH ensures access to all of its programs and activities to all members of the community by offering concession rates and applying for funding and subsidies wherever possible. 6. Activities at SCH are offered in an atmosphere of welcome, inclusion and acceptance by the physical surroundings of the House, our behaviour and processes. 7. Learning opportunities aim to be participatory, respectful of life experience, involve skill sharing and facilitate the growth of the entire individual. 8. SCH upholds the right of the individual to self-determination. To this end, Selby Community House actively facilitates empowerment of the individual. 9. SCH adopts a policy of safety and non-violence at all times. 10. SCH aims to be a relevant Community Resource, keeping up to date information accessible and making referrals where appropriate.
